THE EXPERIMENTAL STUDY ON ANTI-STRESS EFFECT OF KAMIKUBITANG UTILIZING FOR MENOPAUSE

Abstract
|

|
This study was aimed to evaluate the anti--stress effect of Kamikuibitang on the rats stressed by starvation
The experimental animals were starved in stress box(5㎝×5㎝×20㎝) for 12 hour in a days, and administered 500㎎/5㎖/㎏ Kamikuibitang extract for 14 days before stress.
The epinephrine, dopamine, norepinephrine contents in rat brain were measured by using HPLC method.
The following results have been obtained
1. Epinephrine content was decreased significantly in all treated group of KKT as compared with the control group.
2. Norepinephrine content was decreased significantly in all treated group of KKT as compared with the control group.
3. Dopamine content was decreased significantly in all treated group of KKT as compared with the control group.
4. All treated group of KKT had little influence on lipid peroxidation level as compared with the control group.
From the above results, it was concluded that KKT could be used on the medical care of menopause syndrome in female disease.
